Professor Charlene Wang is a integrative Registered Dietitian, as well as the founder of Auric Nutrition & Wellness. Her practice was founded in 2013 in west Los Angeles, CA. and relocated to Colorado Springs, CO. The former model and beauty queen enjoys teaching clients how to keep lean and fit via healthy and natural diet and lifestyle transitions. The San Francisco Bay Area native has years of experience in the clinical nutrition departments of Penrose - St. Francis Hospital, Scripps Memorial Hospital of La Jolla, Scripps Green Hospital, and Scripps Memorial Hospital of Encinitas. Her vision is to combine western nutritional science, taking advantage of its rigorous emphasis on evidence-based practice, with eastern nutritional science and medicine, and its emphasis on underlying causes and achieving harmony and balance of the mind, body and soul. She's also a Professor of Nutrition, Health & Wellness, and Lead Dietitian for a corporate wellness company.
Charlene holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics from the University of California, San Diego and a Master of Science degree in Nutritional Science at California State University, Los Angeles. She has completed the academic coursework (Didactic Program in Dietetics) required by the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics (AND) for registered dietitian candidacy and her dietetic residency at Centura Health's Penrose - St. Francis Hospital. Charlene currently works in the corporate and exectuive wellness field whilst enjoying the privilege of managing her private practice.

Charlene served on the executive board of the Los Angeles Dietetic Association and is a member of the California Dietetics Association, Southern Colorado Dietetic Association and the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics.
My quest to become an integrative dietitian was quite a journey. I experienced through my own body what a difference lifestyle and nutrition can make. I previously wore many hats for a start-up tech company doing marketing, human resources, accounting and business development, working long hours for years. As a result of being overworked and totally stressed out, I was always getting sick, felt no spiritual meaning and altogether in poor health. It was at the age of 27 when I came to a turning point in my life. That year, I underwent surgery to remove a tumor which made me question everything I was doing wrong. To find an answer to my troubles, I immersed myself into studying holistic nutrition, Chinese herbalism, meditation and spirituality. Today, I am healthy and feel great! I decided to shift from my personal treatment towards the health of people focusing on optimal nutrition for wellness and prevention of disease.
I was thoroughly fascinated with nutrition and its incredible impact on the human body. I continued to follow my new passion and enrolled in a few nutrition classes at a local community college. I also found a part-time job in a local hospital’s clinical nutrition department shadowing Registered Dietitians (RD). From my perspective, an RD is a result of merging a passion, career and mission. It was then I made one of the best decisions in my life. I decided to become a Registered Dietitian and went back to school. After working in three hospitals, I embraced an entrepreneurial venture to open my own private practice. I knew I would have a higher impact working one-on-one with clients in a healing and learning environment. It has been so spiritually rewarding to be able to help people transition towards a healthier diet and lifestyle while pursuing a passionate and personal mission.
